Electric Scooter



据《巴黎人报》报道，法国将从9月份开始禁止在人行道上使用电动滑板车，违反者将面临135欧元（约合1044元人民币）的罚款。随着电动滑板车在法国日益流行，出现的事故也有增加趋势。

France will ban electric scooters from pavements from September, reproted Le Parisien. Those who violate the rule will be fined € 135 (1044 yuan). Following a period in which scooters became popular in the country, there has been an increase in accidents.

马上学：“电动滑板车”可以用electric scooter或e-scooter表示。而“电动平衡车”可以用electric self-balancing scooter表示。

可持续发展目标倡导者
Sustainable Development Goals Advocate



5月9日，联合国秘书长安东尼奥•古特雷斯任命了新一届可持续发展目标倡导者。2015年，可持续发展目标吸收全球领军人物，旨在解决世界上最困难的问题，包括贫困和不均衡等。可持续发展目标倡导者肩负推动行动、解决问题的重任。阿里巴巴创始人之一马云，也是新一届可持续发展目标倡导者之一。

United Nations Scretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed a new class of Sustainable Development Goals Advocates on May 9. The SDGs, adopted some of the world leaders in 2015, aim to address some of the world’s biggest problems, such as poverty and inequality. The SDG Advocates are tasked with pushing for faster action on these goals. Jack Ma, one of the founders of Alibaba, is one of the newly announced SDG Advocates. 

马上学：Sustainable 表示“可持续的”，如sustainable agriculture（可持续农业）。Advocate可以表示“倡导者”，如devil’s advocate（故意唱反调的人）。
