日前，国务院办公厅印发《关于加快发展流通促进商业消费的意见》，该《意见》提出了20条促进消费措施。其中一条包括促进夜经济发展，吸引了大家注意。夜经济指的是在晚6点到早6点之间服务行业的经济活动。北京等城市已经推出相关政策，旨在促进夜经济发展。

The State Council recently introduced 20 measures to help promote consumer spending. One measure, concerned with promoting the nighttime economy, attracted people’s attention. The nighttime economy usually refers to economic activities in the service sector between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am. Some cities like Beijing have published policies to promote nighttime economies.

马上学：Nighttime表示“夜间”，如a nighttime curfew（宵禁）。 与“夜间”相关的词语有“红眼航班”(red-eye flight)，这是指在深夜至凌晨时段运行，飞航时间少于正常睡眠需求（8小时）的客运航班。

一年一度的诺贝尔奖颁奖季到来。当地时间10日，瑞典文学院宣布，将2018年和2019年诺贝尔文学奖（The Nobel Prize in Literature）分别授予波兰女作家奥尔加•托卡尔丘克和奥地利作家彼得•汉德克。



Polish author Olga Tokarczuk and Austrian author Peter Handke won the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2018 and 2019 respectively, the Swedish Academy announced in Stockholm on Thursday.
 
当地时间10月9日，瑞典皇家科学院宣布2019年诺贝尔化学奖（The Nobel Prize in Chemistry）授予约翰•B•古迪纳夫，M•斯坦利•威廷汉和吉野彰，以表彰他们开发锂离子电池的贡献。

The 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry are awarded to John Goodenough, Stanley Whittingham and Akira Yoshino “for the development of lithium-ion batteries”.



当地时间7日，瑞典卡罗琳医学院宣布，“因发现细胞感知和适应氧气浓度变化的机制”，威廉•凯林、彼得•拉特克利夫以及格雷格•塞门扎而共同夺得2019年度诺贝尔生理学或医学奖（The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine）。



The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded jointly to William G. Kaelin Jr, Sir Peter J. Ratcliffe and Gregg L. Semenza "for their discoveries of how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability," said the Nobel assembly at the Karolinska Institute.

当地时间8日，瑞典皇家科学院将总计900万瑞典克朗（约合100万美元）的2019年诺贝尔物理学奖（The Nobel Prize in Physics）奖金一半授予詹姆斯•皮布尔斯，以表彰其物理宇宙学的理论发现；另一半授予米歇尔•马约尔和迪迪埃•奎洛兹，以表彰他们对于一颗围绕太阳型恒星运行的系外行星的发现。
 


The 2019 Nobel Prize in Physics, 9 million Swedish krona (about 1 million U.S. dollars), has been awarded with one half to James Peebles "for theoretical discoveries in physical cosmology" and the other half jointly to Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz "for the discovery of an exoplanet orbiting a solar-type star".

中国气象局最新预告显示，新一轮降温+降水就要来了！

由于冷空气与暖湿气流相遇，到10月18日前，全国气温将持续下降，中国南部和西南部将出现大雨。

Temperatures will continue to drop nationwide and heavy rain will hit South and Southwest China until Oct 18 due to cold air combining with warm, humid air.

根据中国气象局，从10日开始，冷空气将从内蒙古东部率先登场，之后逐渐南下。中国大部分地区，气温将下降4到6度。

According to the China Meteorological Administration, from Thursday, cold air will appear first in eastern parts of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and then gradually move southward. In the majority of China, temperatures will drop by 4 to 6 degrees on average.



此外，冷空气南下与暖湿气流结合，也给中国南部多地带来降水天气。

Furthermore, the combination of cold air that will move southward to mix with warm, wet air will bring precipitation to many areas in South China.
